BOOSTER & AUXILIARY

Reverse Circulation (RC) Drilling utilises compressed air to power a percussive hammer, return the sample to surface and hold back any water in the ground, allowing the production of a dry sample.

The Schramm T685 has an on-board Sullair compressor capable of producing 500psi at 1150 cfm or 350 psi at 1350 cfm.

To enable us to drill deeper, hold back more water or penetrate very hard rock, we carry an additional, identical Sullair compressor and an Atlas Copco Hurricane booster.

The additional compressor provides us with the same volume & air pressure as the rig compressor (500psi/1150cfm or 350psi/1350cfm). We then feed these two compressors into the booster which can boost the pressure up to 1000psi, giving us significantly more air power when we need it.
