OUR SERVICES
Exploration Drilling
Reverse Circulation (RC) Drilling is the fastest and most cost effective method of exploration drilling up to 350m, showing significant speed and cost advantages over Diamond Drilling.

From 350m - 700m, RC drilling becomes slightly more expensive than Diamond Drilling but keeps its speed advantage.
​
Reverse circulation drilling produces rock chips rather than a solid core sample. RC drilling produces sample by pulverizing rock with the power of compressed air and then uses that same air to return the sample to surface through a tube inside the drill rods.
Grade Control
RC Grade Control Drilling is used as the quickest and most efficient method in open cut mines to define ore grades.

In active mine areas, an RC grade control progam can quickly identify ore bodies from waste rock whilst keeping any interruptions to ongoing mining to a minimum.
​
RC/GC is typically drilled in a grid pattern to depths of up to 60m using 130mm-143mm holes.
Fully Independent
From making our own access roads through to pads or sumps, our John Deere 750J-II Bulldozer allows us to operate totally independent of mining operations.
We have a fleet of suport vehicles covering everything from rod, fuel & water handling & supply through to deliveries nationwide with a 4X4 service truck. We also have our own 50 tonne float for moving between projects.
ABOUT
Tamarama Drilling was founded in Brazil in 2012 as a subsidiary of Australian company McKay Drilling. In 2019, we became fully independent and were renamed Tamarama Drilling.

Beginning with 100% ex-patriot Australian and New Zealand drillers, we have an extensive training program in place to train up local Brazilian drillers. We now use a combination of both local and ex-patriot drillers to provide our services.
​
RC Drilling makes up over 90% of the drilling conducted in leading mining countries like Australia. Due to a combination of no locally produced machines and very little local knowledge, it makes up less than 5% of the drilling conducted in Brazil.
​
Our goal is to grow into the Brazilian market, bringing the benefits of RC drilling to the mining industry here whilst expanding the available local knowledge.
